HOW TO DRY A DOWN JACKET

HOW TO DRY A DOWN JACKET

If you have washed your puffer and you are not sure how to dry it or you don't know the recommendations for doing so, in this post we give you the keys to learn how to dry your quilted garment.

1. Once you have taken your puffer out of the washing machine, hang it on a hanger or clothes hanger in a ventilated place and out of direct sunlight.

2. Every 1 to 1.5 hours, turn the down jacket inside out and shake it until it is completely dry.

3. If you have a tumble dryer, it is recommended that you put the down jacket with 3 tennis balls in a low temperature, low speed programme for a maximum of one and a half minutes. This will fluff out the inner feather.

If you don't have a tumble dryer and the inner feather has caked, you can tap the garment on a horizontal surface with a cardboard tube (kitchen roll, aluminium foil) or a hanger following the rails of your down jacket from start to finish. Repeat this process until you see that your puffer is back to its original state.

4. A very important fact: Puffers cannot be ironed or dry-cleaned. We hope that these recommendations have made it clear to you how to dry your down jacket.
