The story of Henry Arroway is based on tradition, evolution, and the hard work of two generations.
1970

Enrique Arroyabe opens his first fashion store in Bilbao, Basque Country. A region strongly influenced by art, fashion and gastronomy, and the birthplace of great legends such as Balenciaga.

Enrique Arroyabe
Born in Bilbao, he has had a keen interest in fashion since his teens. After working as a sales representative for other textile businesses in the area, he developed his intuition, creativity, and courage to take the big step of creating his own brand.

1974
After a period as a designer of trousers and skirts, and driven by his entrepreneurial spirit and business vision, he decides to start a new adventure as a designer and manufacturer of coats.
This is a collection characterized by the elegance of the area, timeless lines, and carefully crafted details.
1980

Backed by extensive experience in the sector and supported by the expertise that characterized his designs, several companies have decided to entrust Enrique with the production of their garments. Thus, a new line of business has emerged based on the production of third-party brands.

1985
Following the brand’s success and consolidation, the Fashion Club was created, which would facilitate the brand’s marketing under the Enrique Arroyabe brand in new markets such as the United States.
1995
The path taken by Enrique Arroyabe is followed by his children who, driven by the tradition inherited from their father, their restlessness, adventurous nature, and international focus, decide that the company should take a new strategic direction by changing its name to Henry Arroway.
Henry Arroway thus begins a new era characterized by the union of present and past. The new team, made up of two generations, combines history, tradition, expertise, quality, innovation, and new standards.
2000

It was from this year on that the founder’s children took over the reins of the business and began to lead the major changes the company would undergo.

2015
Henry Arroway is awarded the “Golden Thimble”, considered the “Goya of fashion” and a recognition of excellence in the fashion industry.
2017
Following the long-term strategic guidelines outlined, Henry Arroway aims to consolidate its national presence and expand its sales network worldwide.
These goals are accompanied by a demanding process of brand restyling, moving toward a simpler, more distinctive universe, in which all processes are fundamental to creating identity.
